Reservations may be made by telephone, in person , on the website or by email without obligation. Reservations not ticketed 48 hours after booking will be cancelled. Reservations made within 48 hours of departure should be ticketed simultaneously.
Passengers must be in possession of a full valid passport for regional and international flights; and an identification card for domestic flights. It is the responsibility of passengers to ensure they satisfy all applicable requirements in respect of passport and identity matters. The airline will not be held liable if you fail to ensure this as you will be denied boarding.
If you have any special requests (e.g., diet/meal request, wheelchair, unaccompanied minor, travel on medical grounds and pre-allocated seats) we will do our utmost to ensure that these are confirmed before departure. Medical cases shall be processed within 48 hours to allow time for clearance with the company doctor.
Please quote booking reference number and name at time of ticketing. Cash and credit cards are acceptable as form of payment. Air Zimbabwe accepts VISA / MASTERCARD (and DINERS for South Africa only). The cardholder has to sign the charge form at time of purchase.
Bank transfers are permitted through Air Zimbabwe Bank (bank details are available on request). Please quote the Booking Reference on the bank slip, a copy of which will be taken for ticketing. Tickets will only be issued once the money reflects in Air Zimbabwe's account.
Ecocash is available at all selling offices
Passengers are required to reconfirm all onward and return flight reservations within 72 hours prior to departure. This can be done by contacting the airline.
This enables the airline to have passengers' local contacts in the event of any changes to timings, as well as being able to confirm that passengers are still traveling as per their ticket.
For cancellations before departure, an amount equal to the fare paid less cancellation fees, depending on the class of travel, will be refunded. There is no refund after departure on special fares when one segment has been used.
Please Note: Name changes are not allowed once ticketed. This is considered a cancellation and rebooking with a cancellation charge applies.
The price of a ticket may include taxes, fees and charges which are imposed on air transportation by government authorities and airports.
These fees may represent a significant portion of the cost of air travel and are either included in the fare or shown separately in the "TAX / FEE / CHARGE" box (es) of a ticket. You may also be required to pay taxes, fees or charges not already collected.
The price of your ticket includes a security and/or insurance , and a fuel surcharge. They are shown in the "TAX / FEE / CHARGE" area of your ticket as YR. These sums are levied by Air Zimbabwe and are not a tax, fee or charge imposed by a government authority or a third party.
Many tickets are sold at fares which are subject to restrictions on refunds or charges. If you purchase such a fare you should consider taking out insurance to cover instances where you might have to cancel or change your ticket.
Given that we have arrangements with partner airlines, in some cases your flight may be operated by a partner airline even though you have a reservation with Air Zimbabwe, and your ticket reflects Air Zimbabwe as the carrying airline.
In order to minimize the effects of "no-shows" (passengers who are booked on a flight but do not present themselves for travel), and to allow as many passengers as possible to travel on the flight of their choice, Air Zimbabwe and most major airlines may overbook services. Whilst we make every effort to provide seats for which confirmed reservations have been made, there is a slight chance that a seat will not be available on a flight for which a person has a confirmed reservation, and no absolute guarantee of seat availability is denoted by the expressions 'reservations', 'bookings', 'status OK' and the timings attached to them.
